Innovative Virtual Fashion Show to be organized by Medpoint
Medpoint Design and Events Management is hosting the first of its kind Global
Women’s Virtual Fashion Forum & Show which will highlight topics that relates to women from various sectors. Between 500 to 1000 women from all around the world are expected to join the Global Women’s Virtual Fashion Forum & Show from 12th to 19th July 2020.
Distinguished and famous personalities, namely Former Ministers, Entrepreneurs, Global Organizations, Corporate leaders and Fashion Designers, will talk about fashion, design, and entrepreneurship. The innovative forum is organized to motivate women, develop their abilities, and bring forth their hidden talents.
An exciting eight days of fashion shows will accompany the innovative event. It will host an array of famous fashion designers from New York, France/ Paris Fashion Week, Italy, Morocco, Kingdom of Bahrain, Oman, KSA, UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Sudan, India, Tunisia, Australia, Iraq, Portugal and Nepal.
On this occasion, Medpoint’s CEO and Chairwoman, H.E. Shaikha Noora bint Khalifa AlKhalifa stated: “The success of the series of exhibitions organized by the company over the past decade encouraged us to continue organizing highly beneficial and value adding events. The COVID-19 pandemic is threatening the continuation of the fashion sector. The Global Women’s Virtual Forum & Fashion Show is an excellent alternative to overcoming this problem.“
Additionally, H. E. Shaikha Noora Khalifa Al Khalifa believes that the forum will provide an excellent platform for fashion designers to enter the international market.
Shaikha Noora stated that the virtual forum will last for 8 days and allow international designers to display their unique collections to the fashion world. They will be able to present their unique creations to a huge global audience that is deeply interested in the fashion industry.
She also pointed out that the virtual forum will include specialists, speakers, and academics in fashion entrepreneurship. It will be filled with inspirational success stories that will motivate participants to develop their skills and capabilities. It will also help designers reach the maximum number of people while helping the public to follow the latest innovations and creations in the field of fashion and design.

Ajman businesses seek to boost partnership with Bahrain
Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of the Ajman Businesswomen Council
(AJBWC), received Sheikha Noora Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairwoman of Medpoint Design & Event Management company, and The Nine Training centre in the Kingdom of Bahrain, during a meeting.
The meeting was attended by members of the Board of Directors of AJBWC, along with a number of entrepreneurs and Bedayat license holders.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Amna Khalifa stressed the importance of cooperation and partnership between Gulf businesswomen and the need to allow the opportunities to exchange experiences in a way that supports the businesswomen and their significant contribution to the economies of the GCC countries.
The reception of the visiting delegation included a mini-fashion show for the Council’s female fashion designers and a brief on the “Rofoof” initiative that is dedicated to promote and market the members’ products.
The delegation was also acquainted with the electronic platforms employed by the AJBWC to ensure continuity of marketing and support activities and products of the members. For her part, Sheikha Noora Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa thanked the Ajman Businesswomen Council for the warm reception. She introduced a brief summary of her biography, the challenges that businesswomen may face, and the mechanisms to overcome them and turn them into success factors.
She further praised the role of women in the Gulf region, where the governments believe in their ability to contribute effectively to the economy.
“The success stories are many and various translating the leadership of Gulf women,” Sheikh Noora said.
She also briefed the attendees about “Medpoint” and the various services provided by the company and the several major exhibitions organised by it during the previous years.
The attendees were further acquainted with “The Nine Training centre” and its role in providing specialised training courses and workshops.
Meanwhile, the attendees stressed the need to increase the cooperation and partnership between the AJBWC and Medpoint & The Nine Training centre to organise exhibitions and training courses that serve businesswomen.
The businesswoman Laila Al Sa’adi, owner of “Heyraat” online store, gave an overview of the project and its role in providing an innovative display platform for the products and services of the AJBWC’s members and enabling them to market their products in a way that enhances the growth and sustainability of their projects.
During the meeting, Dr. Amna Khalifa briefed the visiting delegation about the AJBWC and the most important services it provides and the events and initiatives directed to its members in particular and businesswomen in general.
She also reviewed the major projects and plans that the Council is working on to serve the businesswomen and entrepreneurs, pointing to its keenness to strengthen its partnerships with government and private bodies.
Dr Amna also said that the Council intensified its partnerships with various e-commerce platforms during the past months to support the products of businesswomen who hold Bedayat license, especially in light of the repercussions of COVID-19. During the visit, Sheikha Noora Al Khalifa, accompanied by Dr. Amna toured the new building of the AJBWC locating in Al Jurf area, Ajman.
She was briefed about the latest achievements and the opportunities that it will provide for the projects of entrepreneurs through creation of a permanent platform to promote their products.
The three-floor-building includes 64 stores, halls for meetings, conferences, workshops, and 164 offices for companies and training centers.
Sheikha Noora Bint Khalifa hailed the support offered by the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry to businesswomen, wishing that the new building of AJBWC would represent a qualitative leap for the Council’s work and businesswomen.
In the meantime, Dr. Amna praised the great role of the Ajman Chamber in providing full support for the Council’s projects and initiatives, appreciating the efforts of all concerned entities in highlighting the projects of businesswomen and the cooperation for the success and sustainability of their projects.

Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences signed a MOU with Bahraini Princess HE Sheikha Noora Al Khalifa
Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences signed on Wednesday, 30.9.2015 a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with Bahraini Princess Noora Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa.
The content of the memorandum covers the sale of degrees, customized continuing education, consultation services, as well as RDI (research, development and innovation). The next phase of the cooperation agreement will be negotiated between Princess Noora and Metropolia next week in Bahrain.
Metropolia’s Business Services, MCreO, has a special interest towards Bahrain, as it has a long history of formal education and a strategic location as an active gateway to the GCC countries.
“This an important opening for Metropolia. We have built a confidential cooperation relationship with Bahrain, which is the basis of the undergoing negotiations now”, says Director Katri Luukka. ”Our strength is our extensive educational offering, including years of experience in English Degree Programmes. Our staff also has extensive, solid expertise and pedagogical know-how, as well as enthusiasm for developing new concepts”, Luukka summarizes.
Sheikha Noora Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa is a young successful business woman, owner of Educational Institute in Bahrain and 16 other Companies, in diverse sectors across the GCC Countries. Recently, HE obtained an approval for establishing a private university in Bahrain. HE is very much interested in the Finnish Education System and in mutual cooperation opportunities with Helsinki Metropolia UAS in this regard.

On her adventurous trip to Kilimanjaro, South Africa Shaikha Noora Al Khalifa
reached a milestone. In this mentally toughest and physically most demanding adventure, Shaikha Noora Successfully reached the Uhuru Peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest point on the rim at a height of 5,895m, the highest point in all Africa.
Medpoint Design opens international courses!
A batch of 100 Bahraini youngsters are being trained on the matrix of success to improve performance and satisfaction within their future business and personal life. Medpoint Design and Events Management is organising the international course under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad bin Khalifa. Themed “Winning in Business and Personal Life”, the leadership training programme is being supported by the Labour Ministry.
MEDPOINT Chairperson Shaikha Noora bint Khalifa Al-Khalifa paid tribute to Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad bin Khalifa for patronsing the event, extending thanks to the sponsors, including the Labour Ministry. In a statement today, she said that the international course is being held in Ramee Grand Hotel and Spa, in Seef area. International Motivational Speaker, Author, Rally Driver, TV Show Presenter, Performance Coach, Performance Coach and Sports Psychologist Penny Mallory will conduct the inspirational course, along with other gurus.

Shaikha Noora appointed NBA ambassador
The International Non-Olympic University (INOU) of the International Nobel Peace Prize Recommendation Forum (INPPRF) has appointed the CEO Medpoint Design & Events Management Shaikha Noora bint Khalifa Al Khalifa as INPPRF’s Ambassador for the National Brand Award (NBA), and INPPRF’s Royal member.
Shaikha Noora’s landmark achievement adds to her rich record of local and international awards and certificates. It is also a new milestone achievement for Bahraini women.
Shaikha Noora expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to INOU for appointing her NBA Ambassador, noting that the achievement represents an international appreciation of the kingdom’s progress in various fields.
Exhibition had designs on abaya
Exhibition, which will be held at Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC) on Friday. The two-day event is being organized by Medpoint and held under the patronage of Princess Sahab bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, wife of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
A total of 70 abaya boutiques will be showcasing their designs during the event, which will also feature cosmetics, beauty products and clothing lines. Medpoint board chairwoman Shaikha Noora bint Khalifa Al Khalifa told that the event is expected to attract more than 9,000 visitors. “The event’s success comes as it celebrates the tradition of abayas and shows our pride in them,” she said.
Abayas are our identity and have been a tradition of the Gulf. It has become traditional attire in the six states and its presence has been merged with art. Shaikha Noora said the expo has inspired other GCC countries to host their own abaya events. It is an honour to have brought such an inspiration,” she said.
The design of abayas has allowed the opening of around 4,000 abaya boutiques in Bahrain. This in itself shows the amount of consumption and need for abayas in the region. The free exhibition will be open from 4pm until midnight on Friday and from 10 am until midnight on Saturday.
